Post-training placement program — Houston area

Reduced-fee implant placement for selected post-training cases.

Following completion of advanced implant surgical training, a small number of post-training teaching cases are being selected for $1,500 implant placement — reduced from a regular fee of $3,500. Financing may be available from about $63/month if approved.

Program covers surgical implant placement only. Crown/restoration and any additional treatment are separate and quoted individually.

Why timing matters

The consequences of tooth loss extend well beyond the gap.

What begins as a single missing tooth can progress to bone loss, bite changes, and shifting teeth — each of which makes future treatment more involved.

How tooth and bone loss can change facial support and appearance over time

Visible aging

Bone loss can change how your face looks.

When a tooth is lost, the jawbone beneath it begins to resorb. Over months and years this can reduce facial support — contributing to a hollowed or collapsed appearance that ages patients noticeably.

Bone resorption

The body dissolves bone it no longer needs to support.

Tooth roots stimulate the jawbone every time you bite and chew. Without that stimulation, the body resorbs that bone — making implant placement more complex over time and potentially requiring grafting.

GraftingAdvanced loss often requires ridge grafting or sinus augmentation before placement is possible.
Earlier = simplerGood bone now means a more straightforward case.

What this program looks for

Good bone is the single biggest factor in a straightforward case.

Teaching case selection favors patients with adequate bone volume at the site. Recent extractions and planned extractions are ideal — bone quality tends to be highest before significant resorption has occurred.

Recent extractionIdeal window before significant resorption begins.
Planned extractionImplant timing can be coordinated with the extraction.
Existing gapEvaluated on bone volume remaining at site.

About this program

Why the placement fee is lower for these cases.

Following completion of advanced implant surgical training, 2–4 cases are selected at a reduced placement fee. Selection is based on surgical fit — bone volume, site anatomy, and candidacy.

Why the reduced fee Post-training case selection Advanced implant surgical training requires post-training case documentation. A small number of well-matched patients are selected at $1,500 for placement to fulfill those requirements.
Professional review Screened before scheduling Every application is reviewed before any appointment is offered. Bone, health history, tooth situation, and schedule fit all factor into case selection. Most applicants will not be selected.
Availability Application-based access Cases require a specific surgical profile. Strongest-fit applicants are contacted first; others may be placed on a future list or referred to a more appropriate program.
Fee scope: the $1,500 teaching case rate covers implant placement only. Crown/restoration, abutment, extraction, bone grafting, sedation, imaging, periodontal treatment, prescriptions, and follow-up care are separate unless confirmed in writing as part of an individual plan.

Candidacy criteria

Not every situation fits this program.

A limited number of surgical case openings are being filled based on specific criteria. Applications are evaluated for fit before any scheduling is offered.

Strong fit profile

  • Missing a back tooth (molar or premolar) — not a front tooth visible when smiling.
  • Had a recent extraction, or a failing tooth that will need extraction soon.
  • Good general health and no known issues that would significantly affect healing.
  • Flexible schedule — able to attend a consultation and any needed follow-up without a hard deadline.
  • Able to travel reliably within the greater Houston area for the evaluation and placement visits.

May need extra review

  • !Missing a front tooth — esthetic implant cases involve added complexity outside this program's scope.
  • !Told there is significant bone loss at the site or a bone graft may be needed first.
  • !Active gum disease, uncontrolled diabetes, or other conditions that may affect surgical candidacy.
  • !Need the crown placed on a tight timeline — teaching case schedules are set by clinical readiness, not urgency.
Uncertain about fit? Apply and describe the situation in detail. If the criteria are not met, that will be indicated in the response.

How selection works

How the program works.

Applications are reviewed for surgical fit before any scheduling is offered.

1
Share your situation Describe the tooth, timing, location, and anything the team should know before reviewing — including bone and health history if known.
2
Care team review Applications are reviewed for surgical fit — bone, health, tooth type, and schedule. Strong matches are contacted for a candidacy evaluation.
3
Candidacy evaluation Health, bone volume, bite, and implant site are assessed in person before any treatment recommendation or fee is confirmed.
4
Selected cases scheduled Teaching case openings are filled based on clinical readiness and available dates. Non-selected applicants are notified promptly.
